Parenting Tip: šŸ§© Use Positive Reinforcement

Have you ever thought of using rewards to prevent misbehavior🤔 This might be the last thing on every parentā€™s mind when it comes to discipline😬, but positive reinforcement is one of the best behavior reduction🥳.

Positive Reinforcement is a form of discipline that reinforces positive behaviors in our children👧🍼.In addition, it allows parents to tap into their kidā€™s strengths, interests, and effectively connect and communicate with their little ones🤩

ABA🙋 it is an effective way to encourage children to become independent and motivate them to do favorable behaviors, such as completing assignments or doing chores🤩 🙆‍♀️

How Does It Work🤯?

Children who receive rewards for their good work will be motivated to keep working hard. This type of Early Intervention is used to encourage behaviors you want to see more often😉. There are many ways to reinforce positive behavior, and rewards donā€™t necessarily have to be something tangible. Some examples of a reinforcing stimulus can be:

  • 🤗Giving your child a thumbs-up
  • 🤗Praising their work
  • 🤗Giving a hug or a pat on the back
  • 🤗Clapping/cheering
  • 🤗Giving a high five

You can also give extra privileges as a reward🎨.For example, if your little one does their chores without being asked, you can take them to a playground🙆‍♀️ or treat them to a dessert as a reward🍪.
